10 years has passed by since that memorable day at Waverley Park when we smashed Blackburn to win the Div 2 Premiership. I don’t have every player on this email list but if you are in contact with guys like Matty (the Hawk) Hawkins, please pass this email onto him and or others. Let’s all get together and re live that special day that we will never forget and reminisce about the good times we had, maybe even discuss what the club may look like today if Brendan MCNamara missed the Grand Final side, and his brother JMac followed through with his threat to burn the club down. Or how Peter Farrell with a broken leg, broken arm and 2 broken ribs tried to tell Links that he was fit to play in the Grand Final.

I am sure that we have many stories like that to exaggerate and not let the truth get in the way. It will be a great night and if are lucky we might even get to send Longy asleep in a cab to Links place at 3am in the morning, just for old times sake, or the legendary spider (wicksys mate) may make an appearance.

The announcement of the Team of the Decade will be made on the same night as the 2000 Premiership Reunion. The selectors have been busy picking a squad that the team will selected from individuals below. There will be more information next week about a competition to see who can pick and or match the selectors team.
